FAQ For CBD Yums

CBD stands for Cannabidiol, which is extracted from the Cannabis Sativa L Plant. It is a chemical compound from the cannabis plant and is a naturally occurring substance. It is often used in products like oils, balms and edibles – just like the products on the CBD Yums website!

How much CBD should I take?

The maximum recommended dose in the UK is 200mg of CBD a day. Because everyone is an individual how much CBD some one needs varies from person to person. I suggest starting with 5mg of CBD and increasing until you find a dosage which suits you. CBD has no side effects but you may feel a sense of calm or increased motivation and energy.

Is CBD legal in the UK?

The short answer is ”Yes” you can use and possess CBD legally in the UK. CBD is not controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act, it will not get you ‘high’ so is not considered a ‘drug’. CBD Yums sells CBD as a food supplement and not a medicine, (so it is not subject to the strict rules governed by the MHRA). However, I adhere to the high standards set by the Food Standard Agency. CBD Yums is not for sale to people less than 18 years of age. If you are taking medication, pregnant or breast-feeding, please consult a health professional before taking CBD.

What’s the difference between CBD Full Spectrum Oil Droplets and CBD Edibles?

CBD Full Spectrum Oil means the Oil contains CBD and additional Cannabinoids such as CBG, CBDa, CBN and Terpenes, Flavonoids, and a variety of vitamins, minerals and amino acids. When all the cannabinoids work together you get what is called the ‘entourage effect’ – the maximum benefit from the Oil’s compounds. CBD Oil droplets are taken sublingually, a few drops held under the tongue until they dissolve.  But the Oil doesn’t taste great, so edibles offer an alternative. CBD Yums edibles are infused with full spectrum oil, and melt in the mouth, so the CBD is absorbed efficiently and effectively. What I love about edibles, there’s no nasty hemp taste, flexible dosage and the sweets can be taken discretely anywhere.
